Are you ready for 9 days exploring the top bucket-list spots Egypt has to offer with Females Flying Solo? We'll start our journey in Cairo with the epic Great Pyramids of Giza and the brand-new Grand Egyptian Museum. Then it's time to head to Aswan, which is THE place to see the Nile, and we're jumping on a Felucca to see the best of it. Next up is Luxor, the home to the Valley of the Kings and Faiyum, the place for cute villages and where we'll try our hand at pottery! Our final stop before heading back to Cairo is Wadi Hati. This ancient archaeological site is famous for its fossils that are scattered about; it's truly epic here and such an underrated gem! These 9 days will be filled with endless "omg we just saw that" moments, so clear your camera roll, pack your bags and go find your passport, Egypt, we're coming for ya!

Welcome to Cairo

Touchdown in Egypt! You're in the lands of the Pyramids, deserts, hieroglyphics and incredible history. Get ready for an incredible 9 days filled with bucket list moments and new best friends. Arrive and drop your bags off before heading to meet the rest of the group and your Tru Leader for the next 9 days. We'll head out for our first group meal tonight, think icebreakers, great food and of course, 10/10 company. We've got a fabulous time coming, and it all kicks off tomb-orrow, sorry we had to!

Day 2

The Great Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx & The Grand Egyptian Museum

Are you ready to head out and explore! We have SO much to see today! After breakfast, we'll travel over to our first stop, the Great Pyramid of Giza. You've read about them in the books, you've heard about them in school, now it's time to see them for ourselves. Standing at 138.5 meters, it is the oldest Wonder of the World and the last standing Ancient Wonder of the World, the Great Pyramid of Giza, is the perfect place to start our Egyptian adventure. Afterwards, we'll visit the Sphinx, another bucket list site. After a morning exploring some of the oldest sights in Cairo, it's time to explore one of the best new additions to Cairo, the Grand Egyptian Museum. This evening, we're jumping on an overnight train and making our way to our next location, Aswan!

Day 3

Temple of Philae & Elephantine Island

Morning! We hope you slept well as you were zooming across 800 km in the Egyptian desert. When we arrive, we'll visit the Temple of Philae before checking into our accommodation. This afternoon, we'll have free time to chill and explore the local area before visiting Elephantine Island for sunset. You might not have heard of this spot, but this isle on the Nile (easy for you to say...) is something special!

Day 4

Felucca Sailing Trip

We're so close to the Nile it would be rude not to take a boat trip and explore the area on a Felucca. We'll spend our morning on this amazing boat and even get a bit of brunch too. Good food, great views, what more would we ask for? We'll sail North for a while before getting off and heading towards Edfu Temple. After a busy day, we'll drive to our next destination, Luxor! Check in, drop your bags, then it's time to explore Luxor Market!

Day 5

Luxor Bike Tour

Morning! We're up early today to join a Community Enterprise Project. We'll be jumping on bikes and taken on a tour of Luxor by the locals who know it best. We're up early so we can beat the heat and enjoy the sights before it gets too busy. We'll tick off Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple and the Colossi of Memnon. After some lunch and a bit of chill time, we're visiting the largest religious building ever constructed, Karnak Temple. In the evening, we're catching another overnight train back towards Cairo.

Day 6

Faiyum Exploring and Pottery Workshop

Our train will arrive in Cairo nice and early, and we'll travel straight towards Faiyum, a hidden gem that many travellers miss. Once we arrive, we'll check into our accommodation, and you'll have the afternoon completely free to explore the village at your own pace. Wander the local streets, chat with the locals, and soak up that authentic Faiyum atmosphere. In the late afternoon, we've got something special for you, a pottery workshop where you can get hands-on and create your own masterpiece. After all that creative energy, we'll wrap up the day with a well-deserved dinner!

Day 7

Wadi Al Hitan Exploring

Today's all about adventure! We'll travel out to Wadi al Hitan. Think golden dunes and dramatic rock formations. After you've captured all the content you need, it's time to get stuck in with some sandboarding! Channel your inner surfer as you carve down the dunes. Once you've had your fill of adrenaline and sand in places sand probably shouldn't be, we'll head back to the accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please, kick back, relax, shower off that desert dust, and recharge those batteries.

Day 8

Back to Cairo & Market Exploring

It's time to head back to where it all began! This afternoon, we're heading out for some last-minute retail therapy. We'll spend time exploring the legendary Market and Islamic Street. Get ready for bustling streets and haggling for souvenirs that'll remind you of this incredible journey. Once you've worked up an appetite and found all your gifts to take back home, we'll head to our accommodation to check in and get settled. The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours. Tonight is going to be emotional. We're heading out for a farewell dinner! It's time to celebrate the friends we have made, the memories we have created and the places we have explored.
